Bucco Cold Brew
A herbal infusion with bucco and mint for making a refreshing 'cold brew' iced drink. The bucco shrub, from which the indigenous Khoikhoi people of southwestern Africa developed an alcoholic drink known as buchu brandy, gives the infusion its unique flavour. Mint enhances its refreshing effects and adds a hint of a Cuban mojito. The hibiscus flower gives the blend a beautiful pink hue.
Product information
Taste and aroma
The flavor and aroma are dominated by bucco leaves, which may resemble juniper or black currant. A shorter steeping time brings out the light, fresh taste of bucco, while a longer steeping enriches it with minty notes. When lemon juice is added, the original purple color slowly shifts to a light pink in a play of hues. The drink also tastes excellent when sweetened with sugar or honey.
