LEROS HERBAL WISDOM AND HARMONY SINCE 1954

We are a traditional Czech producer specializing in the sourcing and processing of herbs, which we use to prepare herbal teas, cosmetics, elixirs, syrups, and other products.

For 70 years, we have been sourcing and processing herbs in a way that preserves their wonderful properties. We understand herbs and appreciate their remarkable calm and harmony, which is reflected in the products we create from them.

We buy herbs from trusted suppliers and small local growers through our own collection points. Each year, we process around 400 tonnes of herbs. Thanks to our own laboratory and quality department, we have strong expertise in testing the quality of our herbs and the content of their active ingredients.

Our herbal teas are purely natural and are among the few on the market that meet the highest pharmaceutical quality standards, with registration from the State Institute for Drug Control. We build on our own recipes, developed in cooperation with PharmDr. Jan Martin, Ph.D.

Our Czech natural cosmetics have a 100% natural composition guaranteed by CPK and CPK BIO certification. We make them by hand in small batches, using herbs as active ingredients and as part of functional fragrance compositions. We build on our own recipes, combining traditional formulas with unconventional ingredients and interesting textures.

Nature is a source of healing power and harmony for us — something we could not exist without. That is why we constantly look for new ways to operate more gently and sustainably.

All our tea envelopes are made from paper without a plastic heat-seal layer, so they can be easily recycled. Our tea bags with strings and tags are made from purely natural materials, meaning the tea bag can be composted after use.

We are gradually replacing cellophane on our boxes and switching to boxes closed with a paper lock. Most of our herbal teas are now produced on brand-new lines using the knot & knot method, without staples.

We continue the system of collecting medicinal plants that already existed in Czechoslovakia. In 1950s, when Leros was founded, there were dozens of buying points and dozens of different herbs and flowers were collected.

We buy herbs from verified suppliers and from our small home growers, through our own purchases. Half of the herbs we use are from the Czech republic and the Slovak republic. 90 % are from Central Europe.

We have a very strong competence in testing the quality and active ingredient content of our herbs and teas thanks to our own laboratory and separate quality team. We test our teas at several levels, from the raw materials to the final product.

Our medicinal teas have the highest pharmaceutical quality (registration from The State Drug Control Office = SÚKL). We offer single-type teas in bio quality.

We collaborate with pharmacist Dr. Jan Martin, Ph. D. on the development of our functional herbal blends.

Plastic-free tea bag made of natural materials, without a metal staple.

All Leros wrappers (the envelopes protecting the freshness and aroma of the herbs inside the tea bag) are made of paper without a heat-sealable plastic layer. This makes them easy to recycle.

Most of our Leros boxes are made from FSC-certified paper, so you can rest assured that your purchase supports sustainable forest management.

We are gradually removing the cellophane from our boxes and transitioning to packaging sealed with a paper lock or stickers. This allows us to save 4 tons of cellophane every year.

We have reduced the size of our boxes for 10 tea bags. Thanks to this downsizing, we save 1 ton of paper and approximately 70 tons of CO2 annually, as we require fewer trucks for transportation.
