EYEBRIGHT REFRESHES SKIN AND EYES. An infusion of eyebright helps to refresh tired eyes and, when added to a bath, it can refresh the entire body. It is therefore often used in cosmetic preparations. Its Latin name, Euphrasia officinalis, is named after Euphrosyne, one of the legendary Graces, goddesses of grace and beauty. Its folk names, such as 'očanka', 'hledíček', or 'okotěška', refer to the fact that traditional herbalists have long considered eyebright to be an eye herb.

Taste and aroma

This annual herb with pale flowers has a slightly spicy aroma, and its notes can be detected in this beneficial infusion, which has the color of white wine.

Ingredients

Eyebright herb (Euphrasiae herba) 100%.

Brewing Instructions

Boil 2 tablespoons in 300 ml of water for 5 minutes, let steep for 10 minutes in a covered container, then strain. Use lukewarm. Always prepare a fresh infusion.

Do not use if you are hypersensitive to eyebright. For external use only. Do not discard the box; it serves as the package insert. Usage: The infusion is suitable for refreshing tired eyes and skin, and when used in the bath, it is also suitable for body care.
